She was later named Honorable Mention Grand Champion. Other highlights of the open show are Southern Acres MrSnick Dimples, first place Summer Yearling. Four other entries were second and we also exhibited the second place Junior Best 3 Females.
11/09 - Showgirl does it again!
Showgirl has been catching the eye of judges all year long and did again of Judge Brian Garrison at the Southeastern National Junior Show. After winning the Fall Yearling Class, Judge Garrison named Showgirl Junior Champion of the show. This marks two shows in a row that RAD-ical has exhibited the Junior Champ of the youth show!
The night didn't end there though as North Lanes Mailman Apples was later named Grand Champion of the Junior Show! We also had three other class winners in the show. RAD-ical's junior show exhibitors definitely made some noise!

Other highlights include three Very Good 2-year-olds with high udder scores: Southern Acres M Flicka ET VG-88 EX-92MS, Shen-Val BC Cameron VG-86 EX-90MS, and Southern Acres M Fascy VG-86 VG-88MS. RAD-ical Genetics is a fairly young herd and we’re excited by the results. Of the 18 scored 2-year-olds, 12 went Very Good and none were lower than +82.
6/09 – International Winner!
Lindsey Rucks was the winner of the dairy judging contest at the Royal Highland International Show in Edinburgh, Scotland. She was high individual in reasons as well as the high individual overall. Lindsey, and her Florida dairy judging teammates earned this chance of a lifetime trip by being a member of the 2nd place 4-H team at the National Dairy Judging Contest at World Dairy Expo 2008. While on their trip, the girls visited England, Scotland, Germany, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Last fall, Lindsey was the winner of the Invitational Youth Dairy Judging Contest at the All-American Dairy Show before placing 2nd in Madison at the national contest. She was high individual in oral reasons at both contests.

4/09 – KY National Sale Show and Sale.
Top Acres Agenda Roxett was our purchase at the KY National Show and Sale this spring. She is an Agenda daughter of Round Hill Mist Rockie 3E-92 and will show as a Fall Calf in 2009.
In fact, Judge Lisa Gibson made her 1st place Fall Calf and Junior Champion of the Kentucky National Show! To quote Judge Gibson: "This heifer needs to go home and continue growing because she has a bright future ahead in the months to come." We think she’s right!
